Why is Parke Kunkle's statement on Ophiuchus being treated as news?

I don't understand how this has happened. This is just not news. It's just a statement by some bloke which is along the lines of "the Pope is a Catholic". How is it that the media have picked it up and run with it?|||That's a good question. It only indicates to me how badly they must be hurting for things to write about in the news. On the other hand, since there are a great number of westerners who follow astrology, those who decided to publish the story must have thought it would get a lot of attention; which it seems to be doing. It's also getting a great deal of attention because it's causing many people to wonder about how this will affect what they have always thought to be their astrology sign. Even though it's been explained that this is based on the constellations in the Zodiac and doesn't affect the location of their sun sign in astrology, this seems to be creating a stir.


I believe that those who are secure in their identity will take minor notice in this, shrug their shoulders and look for something more interesting to read.
