I've seen the South Parke episode on the Wal-Mart episode and I know the creators have their episodes based of real life situations. I wonder when they did the episode, are there people out there like that.|||At first glance, I sort of dismissed this question as quite silly. However, given Wal-Mart's increasing popularity in middle-class suburbia and even a few upscale communities (The Woodlands, Texas), you may be onto something. No longer is WallyWorld the exclusive bastion of poor, rural trailor trash. Even yuppies look to save a few bucks by purchasing bulk amounts of cheaply made foreign goods of which only a small portion they would use on a regular basis.|||Yeah I believe so.... If I don't go to walmart atleast once a week I get irritable. No joke!!!|||I am a wall mart addict myself.....Ive been on the zellers patch for so long now....4 months and going on strong.....|||they take over towns|||Any behavior that brings one out of themselves has a potential for addiction - it depends mostly on the compulsivity of the individual involved. And those compulsive behaviors are dependent largely upon the family system in which one was raised - compulsive behaviors are an expression of the insatiable inner child. I don't think Wal mart has any properties/characteristics in itself that make it any more addictive than any other behavior - so Wal mart is definitely not the same as heroin in that it doesn't possess the same inherently addictive properties.
I'm sure there are people out there like that. (Although maybe not to the degree that was portrayed in South Park :P)
